Most important things

All this blog has created to made easier someones live when she or he will made their own festival. Here are a lot of posts which tells what Young,Active,Creative team has done and how their things are doing. But we also wanted to share some important points for creating a festival.

1. Idea  - most important thing! Without this there can't be anything. You can use brainstorming whit your friends, local people, make some questionnaire in social networks or read some inspiration books, whatever! Just new, fresh idea.
2. Team - like it or not, but everyone needs team, because it will be hard to do all by yourself. But remember your team must consist from people whom you can trust and believe that they won't let you down. And less people you will have in your head team  the easier will be. It's not so good that there are for example 15 people in your team, it means everyone has his/her opinion and it's extremely hard to get one common opinion. You can add as much as you can people when you already know your idea and things to do, but your head team easily can consist from 3-5 main organizers.
And don't forget about team building trainings and it won't be bad if you will make more than one team building training, cause there will be a long and stressful time but everyone must work together like all for one and one for all.
3. Responsibility - you must clearly define each person  responsibility during the festival time otherwise you can meet with situations when there is something that hasn't done because you were thinking someone else will done this.
4. Finances  - to be honest in nowadays it's impossible to do something without money. Even if your festival is non commercial still you need some money. Exact amount we cannot say, because it depend from your wishlist, but be sure you nee money.
5. Place - place for the festival, where will be the festival. From our experience we can say it was hardest thing to our team. Our recommendation is - THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX. You can organize your festival wherever you want it! Don't look to other your country festival places, create your own place. Your unbelievable place. For example, you will never believe where our friends Estonians are making their festival, until you see it! In the middle of city center, in front of town municipality house! 6.Creativity - more creative you will be more people will speak about you and come to the festival. Use all your craziest ideas for marketing and advertising your festival! But be careful - too much promotion can cause negative effect.
7. Time - plenty of time. Be ready to work 7/24
8.Sponsors - again just help from outside. You can ask money, food, furniture, sound equipment whatever you need just do it on time, because companies are planning their budget at the end or at the beginning of the year, not in the middle. And one more pros from sponsors - you will never have enough budget, so they are your possibility to get more money to your festival.
9.Volunteers - great help from people who want take a part in organizing festival and saw how things are from other side. Use these people, they will relief your team work.
10. Inspiration - which you will get when you will rest for a time. Go to the countryside, or do your favorite things just for some day forget about festival, get back your inspiration, and after that with new power organize the best festival in the world!
