All in all

The festivals in Latvia and Estonia have finally finished.

The Other Environment has been a wonderful journey for everyone. The people that came to the festival have said mostly positive things; many of them are waiting the next year. Let's hope that our festival will be realized a year from now too!

Two days before the festival we gathered at the festival's place and started doing the main chords. We had to put on the fence, build the stages and workshop tents and many other acts. Everyone was tired but we also had some help from the volunteers. For others we now can suggest to choose the volunteers very carefully.

The festival was in progress even if we had doubts about not getting everything ready in time. But we did! The musicians arrived at the next day and the festival could begin. Despite the end of august and the weather that comes with autumn, many people came in masks, rubber boots and smiles on their faces!

No one from the organizers was able to rest at the festival place, we all had various responsibilities but in the end everyone was pleased about their work. More people came than we hoped and probably more would come if the weather wasn't so harsh. Organizers are very surprised that the festival ended without any incidents and our physicians were able to spend a peaceful time.

After the festival we had our last meeting where we valued our input. We discussed the things that we thought went great, things which we disliked and the things that could be improved. We hope to meet again next year!
